Margaret Welty

About Me

My name is Margaret Welty. I am from Hartselle, Alabama and I am a senior at Hartselle High School. I am on the Varsity Cheerleading team, Kappa Delta Sigma Sorority Secretary, Students Against Destructive Decisions club, Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), Jorge De Aguinaga Senior Model Team, and University of Alabama Early College (UAEC) Ambassador and in the UAEC Honor Society. I volunteer at a nonprofit, Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama. I enjoy working out, traveling, hanging out with my friends and family, and watching football. I want to study at the University of Alabama and major in accounting and have a minor in business or marketing. My goal is to be a CPA and make a big name for myself. 

I am in the Decatur Morgan CEO entrepreneurial program that helps me make connections in the business world. I am acquiring soft skills and finding what I am interested in so I can be successful in the work field. This program helps me to further discover what career I want to pursue. It gives me opportunities to learn, grow, build valuable skills, and be creative when problem-solving.
